In the Heart of The City

1 Lombard Street is situated in the heart of The City in an historic Grade II-listed banking hall next to Mansion House, the official residence of the Lord Mayor.

The Brasserie is the Square Mile’s most established restaurant. Casually elegant, warm and inviting, it’s arguably in a prime location, directly opposite the Bank of England and next to Bank station.

Adorning the walls and ceiling are curated artworks and mobiles that once hung in Mark Hix’s London restaurants. With all pieces of art for sale, a full brochure can be viewed here.

British seasonal food

Director of Food and Drink, Mark Hix MBE, has worked alongside Executive Chef Robin Freeman to develop seasonal menus that showcase the best of British food and drink producers that Mark has been known to champion over the years.

Expect quality ingredients, cooked simply; an ethos that Mark is well-known for. Wild and foraged ingredients feature alongside delicious fish and seafood from the British coastlines and outstanding meat from Peter Hannan in Ireland.  The menus change regularly to reflect the seasonal produce available and daily specials are always available.
